Job Description
Our client is a well-known manufacture of quality Aluminium products such as Ladders, utility trays and builder's hardware which stand as the benchmark for industries within Australia and New Zealand.
A temp to perm opportunity has become available at our Springvale branch for a self-motivated and talented Inventory/Purchasing Officer to join our dynamic and successful team.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and maintain our stock holding to achieve minimal stock outs
- Place order on our mill and with third party suppliers
- Transfer stock form other branches as required
- Send out stock to be processed as required
- Maintain exclusive stocking agreements
- Expedite orders as required. Liaise with sales and provide information on incoming stock
- Liaise with the warehouse regarding goods inwards & outwards
- Assist with account payable discrepancies
- Assist with the management of annual stock takes and day to day stock control
- Liaise with national inventory as required
- Liaise with other branches as required, review transfer requests from other branches
Qualifications/skills required:
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and with a team environment
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of MS office suite applications.
